Encounter Rages in Tral

PULWAMA
March 04 An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Reshi Mohallah area of Tral in  South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 42 RR of Indian Army, 180 BN CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. The cordon continued for nearly eight hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in a residential house in the area. Details Emerging.

Pakistan Drone Shot down in Rajhastan, Claims Indian Air Force

March 04 The Indian Air Force on Monday claimed to have shot down an unidentified flying object that was detected over the Indo-Pak International Border in Rajasthan. Top defence sources as quoted by India today said that the unidentified aircraft, likely a drone, entered Indian airspace this morning. The Indian Air Force scrambled fighter jets in response. The jets shot down the Pakistani aircraft with air-to-air missiles. Indian Air Force radars detected the drone's presence in Indian airspace at around 11:30 this morning. Kashmir’s First Old Age Home to be Established in Srinagar

March 04 Secretary Social Welfare, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone today reviewed the progress on key infrastructure projects and the new initiatives taken by the department this year in Kashmir division. Dr Lone said that among the new initiatives kick-started by the Social Welfare Department during the current fiscal is the Valley’s first Old Age Home which is being established at Pandach. He said the land has already been identified by Dy Commissioner Ganderbal for this maiden project to be executed by the Police Housing Corporation. March 04 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in Bugam area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday afternoon, RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Lone Mohalla area of Bugam in South Kashmir's Kulgam District. ‘Doctor Negligence’ Causes Second Death in Less Than a Month at District Hospital Islamabad (anantnag)

March 04 In yet another shocking incident, a family from South Kashmir's Qazigund a patient admitted in the hospital died due to the negligence of doctors at this biggest hospital of South Kashmir. Manzoor Ahmed, a Family member of Rafiq Banoo aged 38 alleged that Rafiqa was admitted to the hospital late evening on Saturday after she complained of severe pain. "We tried to seek the help of Doctors, however no doctor was available to help us, there was not even a single doctor to diagnose the patient," he told The Kashmiriyat.
