Civilian Killed in Army Firing Near Encounter Site In Kupwara

March 01 A civilian has been killed when Government Forces opened fire upon protesters near the encounter site in Kupwara district of North Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Waseem son of Mohammed Akbar Mir, a resident of Sagipora in Sopore was killed when Forces opened fire upon protesters. After Ban, Jamaat e Islami School Sealed, Then Unsealed in Bandipora

March 01 Islamic Model School run by Jamaat e Islami in Ajas area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The move comes following government of India’s decesion to ban the prominent socio-religious organisation, days after arresting scores of its leaders and activists in a massive crackdown. Kupwara Encounter- 2 Troopers Killed, 5 Injured in Fresh Firing

March 01 Two troopers were killed and five others injured during a gunfight between Militants and 22 RR of Indian Army, 92 battalion CRPF and SOG in in the intervening Night of Thursday and Friday at Babagund village of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara District. March 01 UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday welcomed Imran Khan for releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured when his MiG-21 went down in Pakistan-occupied territory. March 01 Intense Clashes have erupted between protesters and government forces erupted in Handwara in North Kashmir’s district where two Militants have been killed in a gunfight between militants and forces.
