Clashes Erupt in GDC Kulgam over Militant Killings

March 28 Intense Clashes Erupted in Government Degree college Of Kulgam District of South Kashmir over the Militant killings in Shopian and Handwara. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that scores of students shouting pro Militancy and Pro independence slogans gathered inside the college campus. The students hurled stones on Government Forces deployed in the area, triggering clashes. The forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse protesting students. Clashes were going on when this report was filed.

Army Thrashes an Entire Locality in Bijbehara, protests Erupt, Highway Blocked

March 28 The Locals of Bijbhera on Thursday morning blocked traffic on the National Highway comnecting near Bijbehara after Army men allegedly trashed a locals in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Army men on Thursday morning thrashed locals in the area after a board of Nearby Sicop camp of Indian army went missing during the night. Immediately after the incident locals in large number shouting prp Independence and Anti India slogans confronted the Army. Dead Body of Unknown Infant recovered From Dust In Tral

March 28 The body of a newborn covered with dust was recovered outside Sub District Hospital Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a lifeless body of an infant girl was found by Locals near the gate of SDH in Tral. The body initially unidentified was claimed by a woman belonging to Bathnoor area of Tral after hue and cry from Locals. “My daughter was seven months pregnant who fell down and got injured. We took her to the hospital where her baby died,” the woman said.

Militants Killed in Shopian Identified as Locals

March 28 Three Militants slain in the Shopian's Keller encounter during an encounter have been identified as Locals, however officials are yet to confirm their identity. Militants on Thursday morning had opened fire on troopers who had laid siege around the Yawran area of Keller in South Kashmir's Shopian. The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter, All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
