Minor Crushed to Death by Army Vehicle in Poonch

April 16 A 13-year old boy was crushed to death by an army vehicle at Gulpore area of Poonch district in Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon. A minor boy identified as Sajad Ahmad son of Mohammed Taj, a resident of Gulpore was critically wounded after being hit by an army vehicle in the area. The boy was immediately rushed to district hospital Poonch where doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival. A police official also confirming the incident said that the case stands registered and further investigation has been taken up.

Protesters Block Highway to Demand Justice to Mamoosa Youth Whose Dead Body was Found in a Nallah

April 16 Sajad Hameed People on Tuesday staged protests at in Pattan in North Kashmir blocking Srinagar-Jammu Highway. The protesters are demanding action on the mysterious killing of a boy from Mamoosa earlier this month. The protesters have denied to disperse despite SDMs assurance and have demanded that Deputy Commissioner and SSP should come to the spot. Pertinently on April 04, the dead body of Jan Mohammed Bhat who was a resident of Mamoosa area in Baramulla’s Pattan district was found in a Nallah, he had went missing on 22nd of March He said that the family had filed a missing report on 22nd March.

Army Thrashes Magistrate, Four Other Government Officials in Dooru

April 16 The Indian Army on Tuesday allegedly thrashes the Sub Divisional  Magistrate(SDM), Ghulam Rasool Wani, along with four officials on National Highway in Dalwach area of Qazigund in South Kashmirs Isamabad (Anantnag) district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that ‘during a minor argument with Indian Army patrolling the Highway near Dalwach Qazigund, The Indian Army thrashed SDM Dooru and four other Government Officials. However after a while, the Army let the SDM and the four other officials go, A strong protest was registered against the incident by Election staff. The Kashmiriyat tried to contact the SDM, however his phone was switched off.

Kashmir Crackdown- Handwara Youth Booked Under PSA

April 16 Amid a high intensity crackdown on pro Freedom activists and religious groups in Kashmir, the Government Forces booked a youth from Handwara area in North Kashmir under the Public safety act. April 15 The employees of Jammu Kashmir Bank branch dooru on Monday expressed solidarity with the family of Abdul Ali Bhat whose daughter Qurat ul Ain passed away in Bangladesh. “We stand with the family in this hour of grief,” they said in a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat. April 15 A pall of gloom descended on south Kashmir’s Bonadialgam area in Islamabad (Anantnag) District as body of MBBS student who died in Bangladesh reached home. 24 year old, Quratul Ain daughter of Ali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Bona Dialgam was pursuing MBBS in Bangladesh. She was in her final year at Tahir Ul Nisa Medical College. She spoke to her family on phone Thursday night. On Friday her family was informed that she had breathe her last. However after family, politicians sough MHA’s help in bringing her back home Indian embassy in the country helped them out. Sushma Swaraj had tweeted that officials in Bangladesh have been informed and are on toes to help the family.
