Higher Secondary in Ganderbal to remain Shut for Three Days, Troops to be Stationed there

April 15 The Government boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal in Central Kashmir’s Lok Sabha constituency will remain closed for three days. The additional district magistrate, Ganderbal, on Sunday issued order for closure of Govt Boys Higher Secondary School at Ganderbal, April 15 to April 17. The Srinagar Lok Sabha seat will go to polls in the 2nd phase on April 18.

People Continue Visiting the Houses of Slain Militants in Shopian

April 15 Sikander Gull Hundreds of people on Monday morning are visiting the houses of slain Militants, Abid Wagay and Shah Jahan Mir on third day after their killing during an encounter with Government Forces on Saturday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of women, men and children are visiting the family of Shah Jahan Mir, top Jaish commander in Amshipura Shopian to express solidarity with the bereaved families. People are also visiting the grave of the slain Militant in his native to recite Fateh to the slain. In Rawalpora area of Shopian, similar scenes are being witnessed with people in large numbers marching towards the house of the slain Abid Ahmed Wagay. Video of Forces Thrashing the Body of Slain Militant appears on Social Media

April 15 A 2- Minute Video has appeared on the Social media platforms alleging that it is a video shot in Shopian district where the body of a slain Militant is being trashed by Forces on a street. This two Minute video in which the body of a slain Militant is being carried on a four wheeler shows dozens of Force personnel assaulting the body of a slain Militant and one of the person carrying the body is also being thrashed. Meanwhile the Local Policemen are trying to save the body from the wrath of the forces. April 15 To evade police arrest, a youth from Pooniwah area in South Kashmir's Kulgam District has went missing from his home since Friday morning. Identified as Irfan Ahmed Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat in apprehension of Police arresting him left home on early hours of Friday morning after which he disappeared, the family has been looking for him since. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat appealed the general Public to help the family in locating their 26 year old son, Irfan. 10 Youth Arrested During Nocturnal Raids in Kulgam

April 15 The Government Forces raided the Pooniwah area in South Kashmir's Kulgam District late night on Sunday and arrested at least ten boys from the area. Locals speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Government Forces late night on Sunday broke into a few residential houses in this Kulgam  locality and arrested ten boys from their houses. Some of the arrested have been identified as Mudasir Ahmed Khanday, Mubarak Sidiq, Basit Khanday and Ishfaq Bhat, all residents of Pooniwah area in Kulgam. April 14 The army Major who was injured critically wounded last night when he slipped into a deep gorge in Kumkadi forests in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district has succumbed to injuries. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the Army Major namely Vikash Singh of 57 RR of Indian Army, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon, he was injured after he slipped into the gorge in North Kashmir's Kupwara District.
