CASO Launched in Shopian Area

April 06 Following specific inputs about Militant movement, The Government Forces on Saturday noon launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Moolu area of Chitragam in South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched by 44 Rahstriya Rifles, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly  in Moolu area of Shopian. European Parliament Asks India to Give Right to Self Determination to Kashmir

April 06 All Party Group European Parliament on Kashmir has said that the right for Self Determination should no longer be refused for Jammu Kashmir disputed between the two nuclear powers India and Pakistan. "We have raised our voices - and will continue to do so - for a peaceful solution. Security of 919 Persons Withdrawn in Jammu Kashmir

April 06 Security cover of 919 “undeserving persons” in Jammu Kashmir has been withdrawn, thereby freeing 2,768 police personnel and 389 vehicles, the Home Ministry said Friday. The list of persons whose security cover has been withdrawn by the Jammu Kashmir administration include 22 separatist leaders, in a clear message to those involved in “anti-national activities”. The move came following the strict stand taken by the central government on inappropriate usage of scarce police resources in Jammu Kashmir.
