UAE Confers Modi With Highest Civilian Award

United Arab Emirates (UAE) has conferred its highest civilian honour -- Zayed Medal -- on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "in appreciation of his efforts in maintaining strategic ties with the UAE."
UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Zayed Medal, the highest decoration awarded to kings, presidents and heads of states, a release said.
The release added that the award came in appreciation of Narendra Modi's role in consolidating the long-standing friendship and joint strategic cooperation between the two countries.
