Pakistan Violates Ceasefire in Kashmir Along Line of Control

May 03 The Pakistani army violated the ceasefire for the second consecutive day Friday by resorting to small arms fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu Kashmir’s Poonch district, an official spokesperson said. “At about 1600 hours, Pakistani army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation with firing of small arms along the LoC in Qasba Sector in Poonch district,” the official said, adding that the Indian Army retaliated effectively, he said. Police rescue 50 bovines in Udhampur

May 03 Police Friday foiled two separate bids to smuggle over 50 bovines in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district even though the smugglers managed to flee, officials said. Police intercepted the suspected smugglers in Bharat Nagar and MH Chowk areas on the highway at Udhampur and rescued the animals, they said. A search was on to nab the suspects and a case has been registered, police said.
