May 23 The Government Forces on Thursday afternoon launched Cordon and Search operation (CASO) in Dadasara area of Tral in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. May 22 One unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter with government forces at Gopalpora of kulgam district. Officials confirming the encounter said that a joint team of Government forces including 34 RR and SOG launched search Operation in the area following credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area. As forces intensified search operation towards a suspected spot, militants opened fire triggered encounter. In this exchange of gunfire, one militant has been killed, the official said, adding that, the cordon is still in place as more Militants are believed to be holed up in the area.
