1 Militant Killed During ongoing Encounter in Kulgam

May 22 One unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter with government forces at Gopalpora of kulgam district. Officials confirming the encounter said that a joint team of Government forces including 34 RR and SOG launched search Operation in the area following credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area. As forces intensified search operation towards a suspected spot, militants opened fire triggered encounter. In this exchange of gunfire, one militant has been killed, the official said, adding that, the cordon is still in place as more Militants are believed to be holed up in the area. According to the family members the student who has been identified as 23-year-old Syed Wahid who went missing on December 12, 2018 is in Pakistan. May 06 The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea challenging the Jammu Kashmir government’s order restricting civilian traffic for two days in a week on a stretch of the national highway from Udhampur to Baramulla for the movement of security forces.
