Mohammed Mufeez An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Brental area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District late night on Tuesday. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday night 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. Kulgam Court Sentences CRPF Man to Life for Killing Colleagues

A Court in Kulgam has sentenced a CRPF personnel to life imprisonment for killing three of his colleagues and injuring the fourth critically. The Sessions Judge at Kulgam's District court sentenced a CRPF man to Life for murdering three colleagues on 24 November 2011. The incident happened on 24 December, 2011 when a CRPF man named Sanjay Kumar shot at his three friends, killing them on the spot and injuring one more colleague critically. He was immediately arrested and an FIR Number 271/ 2011 was refistered against him in the Police Station Kulgam, US 307 and 302 of the Ranbir Penal code. On Tuesday, the District court in Kulgam sentenced him to life imprisonment.

On Monday morning after two ferries crashed in Dhaka, Bangladesh, more than 30 bodies have been recovered.
