China has provided a huge trade boost to Bangladesh by announcing tariff exemption for 97 per cent of Bangladeshi products effective from July 1. The decision has come one month after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a discussion to upgrade their bilateral relations during Covid-19. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh announced on Friday that 97 per cent of items would be exempted of Chinese tariffs. Militants Escape After a Brief Exchange of Gunfire in Anantnag

Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem At least two to three Militants on Monday managed to escape after a brief exchange of fire in the Verinag Forest range of  South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Indian Army, PARA, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the forests of Verinag area following an input about Militant movement in the area. During the cordon, the holed up Militants opened fire upon forces, triggering an exchange of gunfire. 58 Year Old man from Kokernag Dies of Covid 19- Death Toll 85

Sheikh Nadeem A 58-year-old man from Kokernag has died at CD hospital Srinagar after being tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of deaths in Jammu Kashmir to 85. "A 58-year-old manwas shifted here from GMC Anantnag on 19th of June died this afternoon," Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat, adding that, the patient was was suffering from thyroid and pneumonia. This is the second death in the last 24 Hours, earlier, a 65-year-old man suffering from bilateral pneumonia, diabetes and hypertension from Pulwama died at SMHS. With two more deaths, the death toll in J&K has climbed to 85.

A 65-year-old man from Srinagar who was in Delhi has died due to COVID-19 on Monday, family said. Family members of the deceased said that their beloved who had gone for medical check up to Amritsar was tested positive yesterday. They said that after undergoing medical examination at Amritsar, he reached Delhi to return home, where he complained chest pain. A 23-year-old Dalit engineering student who married an upper caste woman was hacked to death in Tamil Nadu four years ago. The main accused in the case was acquitted by the Madras High Court today, the accused is woman's father who had earlier been issued a death sentence by the High COurt. In December 2017, six men, including the woman's father, were given death penalty by a lower court for the daylight murder of V Sankar at a market in Tamil Nadu's Tiruppur in March 2016. Six people in Reading, England, were victims of a stabbing spree by a 25-year-old male on June 21, 2020. Three people reported dead after the attack and the other three sustained serious injuries. The suspect, Khairi Saadallah, has been identified as a Libyan national by the security sources. Sources first considered mental health as a factor in the assault, which is why the police took time to declare the attack as a terrorist incident. Saadallah is currently under police custody and being investigated by the UK's Counter-Terrorism Policing unit. No further suspects are under investigation by the police according to, Neil Basu, the UK Assistant Commissioner for Counter-Terrorism Policing.

With a spike of 14,821 new cases, the coronavirus infection cases in India rose to over 4.25 lakh, while the death toll stands at 13,699. Globally, the number of infected persons has inched close to the 9 million mark. Over 8.9 infections have been reported worldwide, while the virus has killed at least 4.6 lakh people. The World Health Organization on Sunday reported the largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases by its count, at more than 183,000 new cases in the latest 24 hours. The UN health agency said Brazil led the way with 54,771 cases tallied and the U.S. next at 36,617. Over 15,400 came in in India.
