Shabir Khan As Educational Institutes remain closed in Jammu Kashmir, amid the nationwide lockdown due to the Corona pandemic,a teacher namely Manzoor Ahmed in Kupwara district of Kashmir is teaching hundreds of children in the Daroh Valley. He is voluntarily teaching his students openly, following physical distancing rules, Apart from this, the first female Wushu champion of Kashmir, Jabena Akhtar, is also training local children. Pertinenly schools in Kashmir have been shut since the abrogatgion of Article 370 in August last year and opened for not more than five days in March, making children suffer. Yogi Aditynath, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Wednesday said the Indian army men who lost their lives in a violent clash with the Chinese army in Ladakh's Galwan Valley displayed exemplary courage and their supreme sacrifice will always be remembered. Police arrests 4 Gamblers in Srinagar, Stake Money Seized

Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested 4 gamblers from a gambling site and seized stake money. A police party from Police Station Nigeen raided a gambling site at Meerak Shah Colony following an input about gambling activities and apprehended four gamblers. Officers have seized playing cards and stake money of ₹3900/- from the gamblers. They have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody. Accordingly, a case FIR No.106/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Nigeen and investigation has been initiated. Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.

China said on Wednesday it does not want to see any more clashes on the border with India following a clash on Monday that killed at least 20 Indian soldiers, adding that both countries are trying to resolve the situation via dialogue. India reported 2,003 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the coronavirus toll to 11,903 on Wednesday, with 10,974 fresh cases, the Covid-19 infections in the country rose to 3,54,065, which includes 1,55,227 active cases and 1,86 934 recoveries, according to the health ministry. The Prime Minister expressed grief over deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic in India while adding that India’s death toll was one of the lowest. Globally, as many as 8,155,266 people have been infected with the virus while 441,505 have lost their lives while battling the pandemic and 3,945,763 people have recovered. 65 Year Old Shopian Man Dies of Covid- Death Toll in Jammu Kashmir 64

A 65-year-old COVID-19 positive man from Shopian district of Kashmir died at a hospital here on Wednesday, taking the number of fatalities due to the disease in the Union territory to 64, officials said. The man from Feripora area of Shopian, in south Kashmir, died of cardiopulmonary arrest at 4:15 am at SKIMS Hospital Soura, they said. The officials said the patient was admitted to the hospital on Monday with complaints of fever and shortness of breath, and was diagnosed with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. The patient was on non-invasive ventilation and his son who was attending him had given negative consent for intubation, they added.

The Jammu Kashmir High Court has revoked the Public Safety Act (PSA) imposed on the National Conference's Additional Secretary General and former Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar and directed his immediate release. His son petitioned for the removal and release of PSA.
