79 CRPF personnel, an army soldier and a policeman were among 183 fresh persons tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu Kashmir on Monday. The cases also include two pregnant women, shopkeepers, taking the number of positive cases  to Among the 57 cases reported in the Kashmir valley, 14 were reported from Srinagar followed by Pulwama (8), Udhampur (7), Samba(6), Ramban (4), Reasi (3), two each in Kulgam, Budgam and Kupwara while one case each has been reported from Ganderbal, Kathua and Kishtwar. A soldier of 42 RR stationed in Tral was also tested positive for covid 19.

A Mosque has been attacked by on the night of 14 June in the heart of India’s capital New Delhi, by a group of  Hindutva vigilantes, Karvaan India reported. A group targeted this mosque months ago and on the Night of June 14, stones were pelted from across the road running parallel to the Mosque, no casualty has been reported from the incident. The residents of the area told Karvaan India that they informed the Police about the attack after the news of the incident reached them,  after getting a call from Muezzin. This was previously attacked in February, this year. A teenager covid-19 patient from Handwara area in Kashmir’s Kupwara district died at SMHS hospital, taking the death toll in Jammu Kashmir to 61. The teenager is the youngest among the 61 persons who have succumbed to the virus in Jammu Kashmir so far. Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that the boy was admitted to the hospital on 12 June with a serious head injury, he passed away around 3 a.m. today. Just 2 per cent population in Kashmir has antibodies for COVID-19 and 98 per cent population is susceptible to infection and still far away from acquiring herd immunity, an ICMR survey said. Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan, President of Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) said, “A sero-surveillance study conducted in Pulwama district of Kashmir by ICMR in May revealed that 2 per cent of the population surveyed showed antibodies in their blood. “The presence of antibodies means that the person had infection in the recent past and is now immune to the virus”.
