67 Local Boys Have Joined Militancy Till June 2020

The government is claiming that Kashmiri youth recruitment in militant organizations has reduced.  In the first fortnight of July, nine youths from the Valley have been involved in joining various militant organizations. Not only this, the families of these two youths have also appealed to the boys on social media to return home, Daily Jagran reported. According to the police, 67 boys have joined the militant ranks in the first six months of the current year. Related sources said that out of the 9 militants in the first 15 days of July, 8 are residents of South Kashmir. One hails from Bandipora district in North Kashmir. Residential House Damaged in Srinagar Fire Incident

Mir Junaid A residential house was partially damaged in a fire mishap in central Kashmir’s Srinagar District on Thursday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a residential house belonging to Abdul Khaliq Shiekh of NoorBagh Guzerbal Pamposh colony was damaged in a fire mishap on Thursday. They said, “the timely action of fire tenders, police and locals managed to douse the flames and put the fire under control. In the mishap, the house was partially damaged”. Meanwhile police took cognizance of this fire accident.

On Wednesday, the federal court of Canada declared an asylum agreement it had with the US as invalid because it accused the US of violating the human rights of refugees. Since 2004, The Safe Third Country Agreement (STCA) of Canda, required people claiming refugee status to seek protection in the first safe country they reach. However, a judge in the federal court of Canada declared the agreement unconstitutional because of the high chances of the US imprisoning the migrants.
