MK Faizy, the national president of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has expressed deep shock and grief over the present situation in Jammu Kashmir and in particular the distress of Kashmiris. The India Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Leh early this morning to review the situation after June 15 clash in Ladakh where 20 soldiers were killed in line of duty in a face-off with Chinese troops, NDTV reported. In an official statement, the Indian Government has said that Modi is presently at "one of the forward locations in Nimu where he reached there early in the morning." Eight Policemen Killed, 16 Injured by a ‘ Wanted Criminal’ in UP

Eight policemen including three officers were killed and sixteen others injured when they went to catch a dreaded criminal in Bikaru area in Kanpur Dehat district in Uttar Pradesh on early Friday. The State Additional Chief Secretary of Home, Awanish Awasthi speaking to the media speaking on the incident said that the Policemen were ambushed by a criminal, Vikas Dubey in Bithore area of Kanpur Dehat district when they were on way to arrest him. Among the were a Circe officer (CO), one SO, one sub-inspector and 5 constables. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolence and directed strict action against the criminals.

Mir Junaid One Militant and One CRPF Men havr been killed in an encounter between militants and Government forces at Malbagh area of Srinagar District late night on Thursday. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday night CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two  persons including a male and female were working on Corn fields when a wild bear attacked on them. Four person died at Dard Harie Kralpora in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Wednesday after they fell in the well. They were rescued from the well under unconscious state, and shifted to hospital where they were declared dead. Officials said that four persons were rescued from a well and all of them were unconscious till they were shifted to hospital. Kashmir Valley on Thursday reported eighth death in a day due to novel coronavirus as a 65-year-old from Shopian district died a hospital here, taking the fatality count due to the covid-19 in Jammu Kashmir to 115. Four of these deaths were reported at SKIMS Soura, three at SMHS hospital and one at CD hospital, one of the exclusive facilities for the covid-19 management in the Valley.
