Students who passed two or more subjects promoted to next level ; JKBOSE

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Monday said it has devised a mechanism to promote the aspiring candidates of annual and bi-annual private examinations of Class 10th and 12th, who have already passed two or more subjects. According to a notification issued by the government, the annual and bi-annual private examinations of session 2019-20 of Kashmir division, and winter zone areas of Jammu division, which were scheduled to be held in the months of March-April 2019 could not be conducted in view of COV1D-19 pandemic followed by nationwide lockdown. On Monday police from Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district said a man was arrested after he allegedly hoisted Pakistans national flag at his residence. According to the video that went viral on social media platforms, the neighboring country's flag unfurled on the roof of the man's house in Shipra village, following which the action was taken. Shabir Khan A grenade was lobbed by unknown persons on a police post near Bus stand at main chowk of Sopore area in North Kashmir's Baramulla district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that suspected Militants on Thursday morning hurled a grenade at Police post on Monday afternoon. The area has been cordoned off by the Forces. Two civilians were injured in this incident. They were rushed to the hospital immediately for their treatment. No damage has been reported so far.

The former president of India, Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last on Monday (August 31). He was 84. The information was announced by his son Abhijit Mukherjee. The veteran politician was found to be coronavirus positive when he went to Army Hospital for treatment. At the hospital, he underwent surgery for a blood clot in the brain. "With a Heavy Heart , this is to inform you that my father Pranab Mukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital and prayers, duas & prarthanas from people throughout India," Abhijit tweeted.

Ambassador Mustapha Adib on Monday was designated to form a new government after he secured the support of majority of MPs. The previous government had quit after the Beirut Port Blast earlier this month. Mustapha Adib met the President Michael Aoun and Parliament speaker Nabih Berri at the palace of Baabda near Beirut. Mr. Adib, Lebanon's ambassador to Germany, secured at least 66 votes, more than half of the 120 MPs currently serving in the Lebanese parliament. The Christian Free Patriotic Movement had nominated him for this position.
