UAE Cancels meeting with US, Israel over Arms Deal Conflict

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) nixed a planned meeting with the United States (US) and Israel after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly denied knowledge about an arms deal between the US and UAE post the historic August 13 UAE-Israel deal of normalizing diplomatic ties, according to Axios, a US news website. Last week, the US President Donald Trump had confirmed a deal being under review for the UAE to purchase American F-35 fighter jets. This deal was hinted to be reached in six months, according to a US defence official. American F-35 fighter jets have been sold by the US to its allies - including South Korea, Japan and Israel. Waris Shah/ Sheikh Nadeem A young boy was electrocuted to death in Kokernag area of Anantnag District in South Kashmir on Monday evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Ashiq Hussain, a son of Mohammed Hussain Kasana who is resident of Godol area in Kokernag, died on Monday even when he was repairing an electric Line in the Moominabad area of the district. He was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Waris Shah A Driver got injured when his vehicle met an accident at Lavlopora Larnoo area of South kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday Evening. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that a vehicle, Registration no JK02AL 6667,  Skidded off the Road at Lavlopora Larnoo. In the accident the driver received minor injuries. He was shifted to the nearby hospital, PHC Larnoo for treatment where his condition is said to be stable. An Offical at PHC Larnoo identified the injured driver as Mohd Yousuf wani son of  Mohd Hassan Wani, resident of Nowbugh Larnoo. Meanwhile Larnoo police took cognizance in this accident.

Rayees Shah/Shah Basit A wild bear attacked three women in Wani Mohallah Kangan area of central Kashmir Ganderbal district on Monday Evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a black bear ventured into fields near Power House Kangan from a nearby forest on Monday evening and attacked three ladies, among whom one of  them has sustained critical injuries. Officials identified the injured as Shaheena Begum(46), wife of Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Jabeena Begum (34), wife of Mehraj-ud-din Rather and Nusrat Jan(19), daughter  of Nazir Ahmad Mir, all residents of Wani Mohalla Kangan. They said that two among injured were treated at Trauma Hospital in Kangan and the critical one was referred to SKIMS for advanced treatment.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) which has been investigating the Pulwama Suicide attack case of February 2019 will file its chargesheet in a Jammu court on Tuesday.
