Police Rescues Girl From Committing Suicide in Ganderbal

In a bid to end her life, a girl jumped into Nallah Sindh on Sunday afternoon, however she was rescued by the Local Police. A girl (name with held) who is a resident of Ramwari Gund area in Ganderbal on Sunday afternoon made a unsuccessful attempt to end her life by jumping into Nallah Sindh for unknown reasons. Soon after receiving the information Police party from Police station Gund reached the spot and after hectic efforts they rescued the girl alive from gushing water with the help of locals, A Police official told The Kashmiriyat. The girl was shifted to PHC Gund from where doctors referred her to SDH Kangan for further treatment. Meanwhile police has registered a case in this regard

The Power Development Department known for sending faulty bills to the customers is once again being accused of doing so, this time, though by the paramilitary troopers, Central Reserve Police Force. The huge bill for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalion in Kashmir in crores comes as a surprise. The CRPF 181 Battalion center in Kashmir received a combined bill of Rs 1.5 crore, which surprised the Battalion officers. Responding to this, CRPF officer Zulfiqar Hassan explained that such a large amount of electricity bill was due to a technical fault. He said he had lodged a complaint with the Kashmir Electricity Authority.

A Gunfight has raged between militants and government forces in Check i Saloosa area of Kreeri in of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning. Sheikh Nadeem The body of a 10-year-old minor who drowned yesterday in a nallah in South Kashmir's Anantnag district was fished out today, in the early morning. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat the body of a 10-year-old identified as Musharaf Hassan has been fished out from Nallah at Shiekh Takiya Hiller on Saturday morning after hectic efforts by teams of SDRF, Police and locals. The body was handed over to the family for final rites after all the legal and medical formalities had been done. Pertinently Muhshraf had drowned in the Brengi Nallah on Friday morning after which Police had launched operations to retrieve his body.
