Eight year old Girl Crushed to Death in Ganderbal

Rayees Shah/ Shah Basit An eight year old girl crushed to death after a speeding truck hit by her in Ganewan area of Kangan in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district. An Official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Adiya Bano daughter of Mohammad Anwar Paswal was hit by a speedy truck bearing registration number JK01A 2124 at Ganewan. She was critically injured in the mishap and was taken to the nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. A police officer said that a girl was hit by a truck which was on its way to Srinagar from Kargil. He said a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.

Pune Observes Improvement in COVID-19 Recovery Rate

Encounter Rages in Handwara Kashmir- Second of the Day

A Gunfight has raged between militants and government forces in Ganipora area of Kralgund in Handwara of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday night. Sources said a joint team of Army’s RR, Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Ganipora area of Handwara on Wednesday late evening. As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter. A senior police officer upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said that the exchange of fire between the joint team and the militants. A 20-year-old boy has been found dead on Wednesday afternoon near the bus stand in Handwara area of frontier Kupwara district.
