The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday released the schedule for exams to be held in 2020-2021. The UPSC civil services exam 2021 notification will be released in February and the exam will be held on June 27, 2021. In a continuation of protests against the blasphemous comment by a Hindu priest in India, massive protest demonstration was held from the Jamia Masjid of Islamabad (Anantnag). The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petition filed by a group of students and parents for the postponement of JEE Main and NEET 2020. The court has stated that the careers of several lakh students cannot be put in jeopardy as the whole academic year is at stake. A newly recruited militant of Al-Badr was arrested by a naka party in Sugan area of South Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday. An official told that an active militant of Al-Badr was arrested at a naka near Draggad Sugan village of Shopian. He was arrested by Army's 44 RR, CRPF's 178 Bn, and Shopian police. The official identified the arrested militant as Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Ahsan Sheikh of Maldera Shopian who was missing from the last few days. Qazi Shibli, editor of The Kashmiriyat has been released after being arrested on the 31st of July, a day before Eid - Al- Adha. Shibli was summoned by the Cyber Cell and later detained at SherGhari Police Station, Srinagar, Kashmir. He was then shifted to Central Jail. Shibli's family confirmed that he has been released and on his way back home after 18 days under arrest. The Kashmiriyat team appreciates and thanks everyone for their solidarity and support.
