UAE First Gulf Arab Nation to Open Ties with Israel, US President Trump Announces

On Thursday, the United States (US) President Donald Trump announced the historic news of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel joining hands to establish full diplomatic ties as part of a deal to halt further annexation, as per Isreal's 2020 plans, of land claimed by Palestinians. This move makes UAE the first Gulf Arab nation and the third Arab country to sought diplomatic ties with Israel, amid the continuous tensions between Palestine and Israel. Recently Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University has again made it to national headlines recently, but this time it is not due to the unrest in the campus and student-led protests. The university has been ranked as the best university among all the central universities by the Ministry of Education with a 90%score, followed by Rajiv Gandhi University of Arunachal Pradesh (83%), Jawaharlal Nehru University (82%) and Aligarh Muslim University (78%). No Exam Centre In Foreign Countries For NEET 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has told the Supreme Court that it is not possible to have overseas centres for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) 2020 as the examination is conducted offline. The update comes after parents of around 4000 aspirants filed a plea seeking centres for the entrance exam in Gulf countries, including in Doha, Qatar, Oman, and UAE. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 13, 2020. In an affidavit filed on August 11, NTA said examination cannot be conducted in cities abroad as it has to be conducted in single-shift at the same time on the same day to maintain uniformity. Schools will Remain Closed until December : Central Government

No timeline has been decided to reopen schools, but they would not be reopened until at least December. The Central Government has said the opening of schools will depend on the situation of COVID-19. The Union Education Ministry officials told a parliamentary panel on Monday that online classes are only meant for school children above Class 3 and only a limited number of online classes are allowed for those up to 8th standard. The ministry had asked states and union territories for parent's feedback on a likely period when they will be comfortable with reopening of schools. A car accident happened in Galander, Pampore area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. A private four-wheeler got crushed by a tipper, bearing No. JK03F/8232 on the National Highway.
