Scientists Raise Questions on Reliability of Russia’s Coronavirus Vaccine

Russia has become the first nation to register a coronavirus vaccine. But, the announcement has raised a lot of questions from around the world regarding its reliability. The reason for concern and criticism that the vaccine is receiving is that Russia has apparently not completed all the trials and has launched the vaccine anyway. The Russian vaccine’s approval by the Health Ministry comes before trials that would normally involve thousands of participants, commonly known as a Phase III trial. Such trials are usually considered essential precursors for a vaccine to secure regulatory approval. Scientists and researchers from reputed universities are calling it an unethical move. Suspected militants attacked an army vehicle in Hygam, Sopore area of North Kashmir’s - Baramulla district. Army personnel from 15 Garwal, is reported to have received injuries. Reports said that militants attacked forces deployed near NHW at Trumgund - Hygam crossing, from a nearby orchard. 70 Killed And Dozens Injured In South Sudan Amid Clashes Between Army And Civilians

The United Nations confirmed on Tuesday that at least 70 people have been killed and dozens have been injured in South Sudan during the clash between the army and armed civilians. The violent clash took place in the north-central Warrap state of South Sudan this weekend. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that “the violence was sparked by a disagreement over a disarmament exercise being conducted in the area”. The disarmament exercises are a part of the recent peace agreement between South Sudanese President Salva Kiir and rival Riek Machar, who was appointed vice president in February 2020. Encounter in Kamrazipora, Pulwama-1 Army Man,1 Militant Killed

A brief encounter broke out between militants and government forces in the Kamrazipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. An army personnel was killed and another was injured in the gunfight. A militant is also reported to have been killed. An official, while talking to media said, “an exchange of fire took place at around 2:30 am in the morning,  in which two army men received injuries.
