Supreme Court Asks J&K SG if 4G Can Be Restored in Some Areas
Supreme Court hears the contempt plea against J&K administration over the suspension of 4G internet services. The next hearing is on August 11th.
The supreme court on Friday asked the Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta appearing on behalf of Jammu Kashmir government, whether it was possible to restore 4G internet services in some areas.
The SG, however, sought an adjournment as a new LG had been appointed yesterday in Jammu Kashmir and the ensuing developments need to be ascertained.
A contempt plea was filed by the Foundation for Media Professionals against J&K administration over the non-constitution of a special committee to review the ban on 4G internet services.
