Danish Hameed Restrictions under Section 144 of the Cr Pc have been announced in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. People have been asked to stay indoors and barricades have been placed in main town Kulgam. The traffic is off the roads and shops have been closed. The authorities in Jammu Kashmir are imposing curfew in view of 5th August.

11 Districts Under Search for Land Grabbers by CBI

11 districts of Jammu Kashmir are being searched by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)  including Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua districts of Jammu Kashmir. In an ongoing investigation by the CBI, registered on the allegations of large scale illegal encroachment of land in tourist locations of Patnitop area of Udhampur district, the offices, residential houses of Public Servants including the CEOs are being checked. The Jammu Kashmir administration has in the past year taken strict action against encroaches and land grabbers.

More Than 15 J&K Residents Crack UPSC Civil Services 2019

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has today released the result of the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2019. A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other civil services. More than 15 candidates from Jammu & Kashmir have managed to clear the Civil Services 2019 exam. No candidate has managed appeared in the top ranks. Abhishek Augustsya from Jammu is the only J&K candidate in top 50 as he has achieved 38 rank. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services exam 2019. Pradeep Singh has emerged as the topper followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma at second and third position, respectively. The results are based on the written part of Civil Services examination, 2019 which were held in September 2019 and the interviews or Personality Tests that were conducted from February-August, 2020. Around 829 candidates are shortlisted for various Civil Services in the 2019 exam. The Civil Services exams are held every year for the selection of candidates to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Other Central Services.

India COVID-19 Update- 52,050 Positive Cases and 803 Deaths

India records the last 24 hours spike of 52,050 positive cases and 803 deaths due to COVID-19. India's total COVID-19 tally increases to 18,55,746 including 5,86,298 active cases, 12,30,510 cured and 38,938 deaths, according to the data released by the Health Ministry. The rate of increase in COVID-19 cases for India stands at 3.6%, whereas the US stands at a rate of  1.6% and Brazil at 2.3 % - the only two countries with a higher caseload.
