Hurriyat activist’s wife commits suicide in Budgam

Naveed Ul Haq A 37-year-old lady allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her home at Namtehall village of Chadoora area in Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the lady after consuming poisonous substance was shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora where doctors declared her brought dead. Five more countries considering Israel deals, says White House.

China ‘Illegally occupies around 38,000 square km land’ in Ladakh, says Rajnath Singh

On the fourth day of Monsoon session of Parliament of India, the Defence Minister of India on Thursday Rajnath Singh told the Rajya Sabha that China continues to illegally occupy approximately 38,000 square kilometres of land in Ladakh. “China continues to be in illegal occupation of approximately 38,000 sq kms in the Union Territory of Ladakh,” Singh said. “In addition, under the so-called Sino-Pakistan ‘Boundary Agreement’ of 1963, Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 sq km of Indian territory in PoK [Pakistan-occupied Kashmir] to China.
