SSP Ganderbal Orders In-Situ Promotion of 34 Officials

Shri Khalil Ahmed SSP, JKPS - Ganderbal has ordered promotion in favour of officials of District Police in Ganderbal. The Departmental Promotion approved the promotions that were constituted for the purpose. 34 constables, who had completed nine years satisfactory service in one rank and stagnant in a particular grade. SSP Ganderbal extended his warm greetings to them and their families and hoped that the promotions would encourage workmanship and their efforts in the cadre. The work that they do with zeal and zest is for the society in general and Police Department in particular. The promotees were also felicitated.

Arunachal Pradesh Police has launched a probe following reports that five people, who had gone hunting in a forest in Upper Subansiri district on the Sino-India border, were allegedly kidnapped by the Chinese military, a senior official said on Saturday. The alleged incident occurred on Friday in Nacho area of the district, their families said. Two others, who were in the group, managed to escape and informed police. “I have sent the officer-in-charge of the Nacho police station to the area to verify the facts and directed him to report immediately. Encounter Rages in Lolab area of Kupwara

An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Dana Behak area of Warnow in Lolab of North Kashmir's Kupwara district. A Police official said that on Saturday afternoon, 28 RR of Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu Kashmir Police, after receiving inputs about Militant presence laid a cordon and search operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the cordon continued for nearly an hour, during which the hiding militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter. All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces. Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Gurez Peerzada Ajaz told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that two bodies were recovered from a Nallah in Malangham area of Tulail in Gurez sector today afternoon. One of them has been identified as an alleged Jaish militant Nisar Ahamed Rather from Dadsara Tral area of Pulwama district. The other was a truck driver from Ddgripora who went missing in Delhi, back in 2018 and had allegedly joined Hizbul Mujahideen.
