After the recent uprising in Azerbaijan, 26 more separatists lost their lives to the clashes with the troops and  Nagorno-Karabakh region rebels according to the defence ministry, where the military death toll reached to 84. According to the reports the fresh number is of civilian killings mounted to 11, nine from Azerbaijan and two from Armenina on Tuesday, bringing total death toll to 95. Amnesty International has said that it has been forced to halt its operations in India because of "reprisal" from the government. It has also accused the government of indulging in a "witch-hunt of human rights organisations." Amnesty says its bank accounts have been frozen and it's been forced to lay off staff in the country, and suspend all its campaign and research work. In Jammu Kashmir, a study conducted by the Sher e Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST)has confirmed that more than 95% of youth are opposed to the removal of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu Kashmir. Titled as ‘A Study on Jammu Kashmir Present, Past and Views of Students on Article 370 abrogation’, the study has been published in International Journal of Latest Research on Humanitarian and Social Science. Shah Basit/ Rayees Shah A massive landslide disrupted traffic movement on the 434 km long Srinagar-Leh highway since last evening. A Traffic police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat that landslide occurred at India Gate Zojila along Sgr-Leh highway due to which the road remained blocked since yesterday 7 PM. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court will hear a petition seeking the release of former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.The plea was filed by Mufti's daughter, Iltija Mufti. Mufti and many other leaders of Kashmir, including Farooq Abdullah, were put in detention following the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that accorded special status to the erstwhile state. Sikander Gulzar Unknown gunmen on Monday evening fired upon a youth, an employee in Rural Development Department, in Nildoora village of South Kashmir's Shopian district. On Saturday, the crime branch of Mumbai nabbed a 22-year-old Bharat Jayantilal Raval alias Maharaj, from Malad on charges of murdering a dalit lawyer and activist Devjibhai Maheshwari in Kutch in Gujarat, an official said. The accused is a resident of Tirupatinagar in Kutch. As per the reports, Devji Maheshwari, the deceased, was a senior activist of the All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation (BAMCEF) and of the Indian Legal Professionals Association.
