Pulwama Boy Shines in NEET, Secures Over 96 Percent Points

A teenager from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district his parents and entire Kashmir proud by securing over 96 percent points, in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams. Waris shah One Militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter broke out between militants and Government forces in Larnoo area of Kokernag belt in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district. Earlier, An official told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of Indian Army’s 19 RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police on Saturday morning launched a cordon and search operation on a tip-off about the movement of militants in this Anantnag area. Locals Rescue CRPF Personnel Injured During Road Accident in Kashmir’s Bandipora

In yet another amazing display of humanity, locals from Nusoo area of Bandipora in North Kashmir rescued dozens of CRPF men who met an accident in the area on Friday morning. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that a gypsy of 3 Bn of CRPF met an accident in the wee hours of Friday morning resulting in death of one CRPF man and injuries to three others. As soon as the news of the accident spread in the area, locals from nearby areas in huge numbers reached the spot of the accident and rescued the CRPF troopers from the spot of the accident. NTA to Declare NEET 2020 Results Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the result of the medical entrance exam, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 today at 4 pm as per the reports.  The NEET results will be available at the NTAs official website for NEET, ntaneet.nic.in.  To check them, the students will have to enter the roll number mentioned on the NEET admit card.  To check NEET results on the mobile phone, students will have to log in at the official website nta.ac.in or ntaneet.nic.in and insert the credentials required.  It will include the results of both September 13 and November 14 attempts. The main NEET 2020 exam was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic.  NTA will release the final NEET answer key 2020 just before the declaration of NEET result.

Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh Not Part of India: China

On Thursday, the Chinese foreign ministry issued a provocative statement about the Indian territories saying that the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and the state of Arunachal Pradesh are parts of China.  Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava (MEA) replied, "The union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been, are, and would remain an integral part of India. China has no locus standi to comment on India's internal matter." Pak Open Fires in Jammu Kashmir’s Poonch, No Loss of Life

On Friday, Pakistan initiated heavy firing and shelling on Indian positions and forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Mankote sector of Poonch district, prompting India to retaliate in equal measure. India retaliated to the firing. Defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said, at about 0515 hours (5:15 am), Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and then switching over to mortar shelling along the LoC in Mankote sector. There was no loss of life or injury on the Indian side. Pakistani has violated the ceasefire for 18 times this month. 

WHO Trial Finds Remdesivir Has Little Effect on COVID-19 Mortality

A trial by WHO with four drugs including the antiviral Remedisivir in the treatment of COVID-19 has found that the repurposed medicines have little or no effect on the duration of time the patients spend in hospital or their survival. The researchers wrote in a preprint on the findings of the WHO’s Solidarity trial that was released on medRxiv, "These Remdesivir, Hydroxychloroquine, Lopinavir and Interferon regimens appeared to have little or no effect on hospitalized COVID-19, as indicated by overall mortality, initiation of ventilation and duration of hospital stay". The results have yet to be peer reviewed. The randomised trial of the drugs took place in 405 hospitals across 30 countries and involved 11,266 patients.
