24-year-old Youth Found Death Inside his Home in Sopore

Shabir Khan A 24 year old boy was found dead at his home in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a Aamir Majeed son of Abdul Majeed, who is a resident of Chankhan area of Sopore township was found dead inside his home on Saturday morning. He said that the family after finding him lying unconscious on ground rushed him immediately to the sub district hospital in Sopore. Upon his arrival at the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. The Jammu Kashmir police has launched an nvestigation into the matter.

Danishwar Hameed Two Militants have been killed during an encounter broke out between militants and Government forces in Czingam, Kala Drang area of Yaripora belt in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday night.. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of Police, Indian Army’s 1 RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a cordon and search operation on tip off about the movement of militants in the area. He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. As per the officials, during the exchange of gunfire, two Militants have been killed, who are yet to be identified. Meanwhile Searches are still going on at the site of the encounter.

Skinder Gull Unknown assilants on Friday evening shot at a 14 year old boy in Lethpora area of South Kashmir's Awantipora district. An offcial told The Kashmiriyat that a 14 year old boy was shot at in Lethpora area when some heated argument ensued between locals and the gunmen who were boarding a SUV fired at him. Identified as kushdil Gulzar, recieved bullet in arm and was immediately rushed to shifted to SDH Pampore for treatment. After first aid he was immediately discharged from hospital. Meanwhile police has initiated investigation in this regard.

Activist Stan Swamy (83) has been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the 2018 Bhima-Koregaon violence of Maharashtra. Known as Father Stan Swamy, he has been working with tribals in Jharkhand for several decades, An NIA team from Delhi arrested him from Ranchi, Jharkhand.
