Scooty Rider Dies After Being Hit By a Tractor in Qazigund

Waris Shah A Scooty rider died after being hit by a tractor in Vessu area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Adil Sultan Dar, a scooty rider was hit by a speedy tractor near Vessu on Jammu-Srinagar National highway. Aadil Sultan Dar, son of Mohammad Sultan Dar, a resident of Bangidar in Islamabad (Anantnag) died on the spot after being hit. An FIR has been lodged and investigation initiated.

On day 131 of resumption of routine domestic operations in Jammu and Kashmir, 32 domestic flights with 4,436 passengers on board today arrived at Jammu and Srinagar Airports. A total of 1578 passengers aboard 11 regular commercial flights arrived at the Jammu Airport while 21 domestic flights with about 2858 passengers aboard landed at Srinagar Airport today. Pertinently, Jammu Airport Authorities have received a total of 1,171 domestic flights with 112,886 passengers while Srinagar Airport Authorities have received 1,914 domestic flights with 2,62,236 passengers since 25th of May till date. Taking cognizance of the objectionable article uploaded by a WordPress blog, Kashmir Fight, the Jammu Kashmir police have registered a case against the website handler. This website as per the Police is operated from Pakistan. In the year 2018, the WordPress blog wrote defamatory articles against journalist Shujaat Bukhari,  after which he was killed a few days later. A few days ago, a list of media personnel besides some political, social workers of the state was published. According to the police spokesperson, the website is promoting radicalism. Shabir Khan The Government forces launched a massive cordon and search operation in north Kashmir's Baramulla village on Sunday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that forces Including RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police launched a cordon and search operation in the Nowpoara area of Baramulla. They said that drones have been pressed in service to trace out Militants hiding in the area. According to the Ministry of Health, India's COVID-19 death toll crossed One lakh-mark on Saturday after 1,069 people succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. More than 79,476 cases reported in the span of the last 24 hours. The country's total tally surged past 64-lakh. The government claimed that the recovery rate stands at a high of 83.84%, while the fatality rate has come down to 1.56 %. The Delhi police special cell has arrested four Kashmiri youths and recovered over 120 rounds of ammunition and four sophisticated pistols from their possession. Police said that one of the arrested persons Ishfaq Majeed Koka is the elder brother of slain Militant Burhan Koka, ex-chief of the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an offshoot of the Al Qaeda in Jammu Kashmir. India Successfully Tests Nuclear Capable ‘Shaurya’ Missile

India on Saturday successfully test-fired an advanced version of the Shaurya surface-to-surface nuclear-capable ballistic missile in Odisha. The Shaurya missile can strike targets at a range of around 800 kilometres, and will complement the existing class of missile systems. “It will be lighter and easier to operate,” sources in the government said. In the final phase of its course, the missile moves at hypersonic speeds while moving close to its target, the sources further said. The Defence Research and Development Organisation has lately carried out a slew of missile tests amid heightened tensions with China along the Line of Actual Control.
