One Army Soldier Killed, Two Injured in a Snow Avalance in Kupwara

Shabir Khan An army soldier was killed while two others were injured when a snow avalanche hit a army post in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. An official confirming the incident to The Kashmiriyat that three soldiers were injured when a snow avalanche hit their post in Tangdar sector on Wednesday morning. All the injured soldiers were rushed to Kupwara hospital where one among succumbed to his injures, the official said. The deceased was identified as Nikil Sharama of 7 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army.

Shabir Khan A paramilitary CRPF personnel allegedly ended his life by shooting himself in Wadoora area of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday morning. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a CRPF head constable a resident of Odisa was attached with 92 BN of CRPF posted at Wadoora in Sopore shot himself dead with his service rifle. A police officer said that a case has been registered in this regard.

The Delhi Police has arrested two Kashmiri youth from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi late night on Monday. Delhi Police has claimed that the duo were arrested near Millennium Park in Sarai Kale Khan around 10.15 pm on Monday night. The Delhi Police has said that the duo are Jaish e Muhammad affiliates and have been arrested with two pistols and two live cartridges. The duo have been identified as Abdul Lateef Mir,(22) son of Sanaullah Mir, a resident of Pala Mohalla in Baramulla and Mohammed Ashraf (20) son of Bashir Ahmed Khatana, a resident of Hatmulla in Kupwara. The duo are being, as per latest reports, questioned by the Delhi Police.
