Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) in a statement has said that it "regretted" the continued denial of government advertisements to Srinagar-based newspaper- Kashmir reader. "The newspaper has never been informed either verbally or in black and white about the reasons for a halt to the advertisements by the government," the statement read. The issue was brought to the notice of the administration many times at different levels and it was expected that the decision-makers take a view of the issue, but to no avail, the guild lamented. The guild urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s to look into the issue so that the newspaper is prevented from being shut down.

Jammu Kashmir is expected to receive heavy snowfall in the next few days, as per the MET. An advisory issued by the local weather office said, "Scattered to fairly widespread precipitation is very likely to occur over J&K and Ladakh between November 14 to 15". The advisory said air and surface traffic was likely to get disrupted during this period. The traffic disruption is likely to hit the Srinagar-Jammu, Srinagar-Leh highways and the Mughal Road that connects the valley with the Jammu division. Authorities have issued warnings for people living in higher reaches to avoid movement during this period as landslides can occur at such places.
