Arnab was shifted to the Taloja Jail after he was allegedly found using a mobile phone while in judicial custody at a quarantine centre designated as COVID-19 centre for Alibaug prison in Raigad district. Two persons including a man and a woman were on Sunday found hanging with a tree near river Chenab in Akhnoor Sub Division of Jammu district. Officials told that locals spotted two bodies hanging with a tree in suspicious circumstances at Bal near river Chenab in Gurha Brahmana area of Akhnoor. They said teams from local Police Station and forensic teams rushed to the spot. “Investigation into the matter and inquest proceedings under CrPC 174 have been started in Akhnoor Police Station,” officials said. The marriage assistance to the needy unmarried girls has witnessed constant dip in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar from the last three financial years, official documents reveal. According to the official figures under the State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), a total of 555 unmarried girls have got the benefits in district Srinagar. However, from the past three financial years, there has been a dip of at least 90.46 per cent in providing assistance to the needy unmarried girls.
