Senior National Conference leader and incumbent Member Parliament (MP) Muhammad Akbar Lone on Monday said that they would go to any extent to bring back Article 370 in Jammu Kashmir. A minor boy (name with held) from Mawer area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday attempted to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his home after being allegedly sexually harassed by a private school teacher here. The family of the minor boy told a news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he was sexually harassed by a school teacher for over a month and yesterday he consumed some poisonous substances to get rid off of the abuse. 38-year-old Man Hangs Self in Anantnag

Waris Shah A 38-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home at Tantraypora area of Kokernag in Anantnag district of south Kashmir. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a man (name with held) was found by his family in an unconscious state on Tuesday morning in his house in this Anantnag area. The family shifted him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. An official told The Kashmiriyat that after the completion of medical and legal formalities, the body will be handed over to family members for last rites, the official added. A police officer also confirmed and said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been initiated.
