Jammu Kashmir Administration has Allotted 25 Acres of Land to Set up Kashmir’s First Sainik Colony

The administration in Jammu Kashmir has identified 200 kanals of land in Budgam district to set up Kashmir’s first Sainik colony, The Print reported. The report quoted a senior official saying that the land will be primarily used to set up housing facilities for retired armed forces personnel and their families belonging to Jammu Kashmir, also accommodating the widows and families of deceased personnel of the armed forces. "The 25 acre grazing land and its transfer to the relevant authorities will take place after completion of all the bureaucratic processes, central and Jammu Kashmir," the report read.
