Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the brother of one of the slain youth said that the families of the three youth were called to the Police control room of Srinagar where the bodies of the trio were kept, after which only limited members of the family were escorted by the Police to a graveyard in Sonmarg. Unani College Starts Admissions for BUMS Course in Kashmir

Government Unani Medical College of Kashmir has got permission to start the admission process for the first batch of Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course in the year 2020-21. There will be 60 seats in this course. An official spokesman gave this information, NDTV Reported. The spokesman said that the Union Ministry of AYUSH has issued a "permission letter" to start the course. Earlier, following the recommendations of the Central Medicine Council of India (CCIM), a letter of intent was issued to open a new Unani Medical College in the name of Government Unani Medical College and Hospital with 60 seats in Kashmir. Three militant were killed in an overnight encounter in Hokarsar area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district district. Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS that all three militant have been killed in the operation. However Indentity of militant couldn't be established as of now. The encounter resumed this morning after being suspended for night due to darkness. Yesterday, Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police, army's 02 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Hokarsar . The PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti alleged that two women DDC members of her party were detained by Jammu Kashmir Police citing "security concerns". The former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti termed Police as "wheel-dealers" of L-G Manoj Sinha, and said that they are "executing the order of higher-ups." The Jammu Kasmir Police on Wednesday has refuted claims of Mehbooba Mufti and said that no DDC member has been taken rather they have been requested to shift to Tangmarg Guesthouse by Wednesday. The Government Forces have detained around 625 alleged Over Ground Workers of militants during the year 2020. Since 2016, the government forces launched a massive crackdown against OGWs also called as Militant associates to limit the capabilities of Militants to attack and regroup. The OGWs facilitate the movement of public in a particular area, manage logistical support and sometimes are part of the reconnaissance missions as well. Most of the alleged OGWs arrested this year were booked under Arms Act, or the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, ET Reported.
