Hundreds of Palestinians participated today in the funeral of 13-year-old Ali Abu Alayya, who was killed by Israeli soldiers yesterday, in his al-Mughayyer hometown, northeast of Ramallah. The funeral left Ramallah hospital this morning in a military procession attended by hundreds of people despite the coronavirus lockdown imposed today in the West Bank. One Cop, Civilian Injured in Suspected Militant Attack in Srinagar

Irshad Hussain Suspected militants on Sunday afternoon attacked a Joint party of Government forces personnel in Sazgarpora area of Hawal in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district resulting in injuries to one-armed forces personnel and a civilian. An official told The Kashmiriyat that one cop identified as Farooq Ahmed received a bullet injury in the attack along with a civilian identified as Muneer Ahmed, a resident of Safa Kadal area of Srinagar. Farooq Ahmed was working as a constable in the Jammu Kashmir Police was shifted to SKIMS hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be stable. Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off by the Forces to nab the assailants who were involved in the attack.

Army on Sunday morning detained two teenage girls from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK), who had inadvertently crossed over to this side in Poonch district of Jammu Kashmir. Defence spokesman Lt Col Devendra Anand here said that two girls from Pakistan administered Kashmir, Laiba Zabair,17 and Sana Zabair,13, residents of village Abbasspur, Tehsil Forward Kahuta had inadvertently crossed into Indian side in Poonch Sector in the morning hour. "Own troops deployed along the Line of Control having detected the crossing, exercised complete restraint to prevent any harm to the teenagers," he said, adding that efforts are being made for early repatriation. Sheikh Nadeem A minor boy was found dead in under mysterious circumstances in Sallar area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a 12-year-old boy Showkat Ahmad son Gul Mohammed Dar left home along with some boys from the locality to play in the nearby field. The family started searching him, after he did not return home. During the searches, Showkat was found dead in a tin shed in his neighborhood.

A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that the Devsar Police Station in Kulgam arrested a man after receiving a complaint about a rape incident and uploading it to social media after recording it over the phone. He said that the station house officer of Kulgam, Jazib Mohammed on the directions of his seniors started a search for the accused and within six hours Amir Bhat of Gudder area in Kulgam (the accused) was detained. "A case FIR No. 120/2020 U/S 376, 506 IPC, 4 POCSO Act, 67A IT Act has been registered in Police Station Devsar and further investigation is on," the official said.
