CRPF Trooper Dies of Myocardial Infarction in Sopore

On Saturday, a CRPF trooper died after a massive cardiac arrest in Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district. An official said that a CRPF trooper who was on duty died of cardiac arrest early this morning and fell unconscious. He was rushed to the 177 BN headquarter in Sopore from where he was shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment. “However, he died at Srinagar hospital today afternoon,” he said.

Waheed Parra Detained by CIK in Jammu, after Granted Bail : Mehbooba

The former Chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday stated that her party’s youth president Waheed Parra after granted bail was detained by CIK Jammu. Man in Jammu Arrested for Duping Woman of Lakhs

A man was arrested by Police on Saturday in Jammu for allegedly duping a woman of 23.50 lakh rupees on the pretext of sale of a JCB excavator in 2017 here, a spokesperson of the Crime Branch said. Kulbir Singh, proprietor of K K Motors, was arrested from the city by the Crime Branch sleuths after a local court dismissed his bail application, the spokesperson said. He said the Crime Branch registered a case against Singh last year following a written complaint by a woman, alleging that in 2017 she approached the dealer (accused) for purchase of a JCB and for that purpose applied for a loan at J-K Bank's Kullian branch in R S Pura. Peoples Democratic Party Youth Wing President Waheed ur Rehaman Parra who was arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been released on bail by an NIA court in Jammu. An official was quoted saying Parra was taken to Jammu and produced before a designated NIA court in a case related to his alleged “close links” with Irfan Shafi Mir, who was earlier arrested along with Hizbul Mujahideen militant Naveed Babu and suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh last year. Chinese Soldier Captured by Indian Army in Ladakh

The Indian Army on Friday (8 January) morning apprehended a Chinese People Liberation Army's (PLA) soldier near Gurung hill in the Chushul sector of eastern Ladakh, India Today reported. The PLA troop had transgressed across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and was taken into custody by the Indian troops deployed in the area, the Indian Army said in a statement.
