Irshad Hussain The Kashmir university law, Engineering, and IMBA departments of the Kashmir University accused the Kashmir University authorities of not throwing hostels open for them despite paying for it. The Students said that the classwork has been resumed and despite that hostels have not been allotted to them which is causing difficulties for students who do not reside in Srinagar. UN Agency Seeks Help to Find Rohingya Boat Adrift at Sea

A broken-down boat carrying ethnic Muslim Rohingya is believed to drifting in the Andaman Sea with some of them already dying from lack of food and water, the U.N. refugee agency said Monday, appealing to Southeast Asian governments to rescue them. The vessel departed from Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf in Bangladesh 10 days ago and has been adrift for over a week after the engine broke down, the U.N. High Commission For Refugees said. Train Service Between Baramulla and Banihal Resume After 11 Months in Kashmir

After remaining suspended for 11 months, train service between the Kashmir Valley and the Jammu division will resume on Monday. "After remaining suspended for 11 months due to the pandemic, train services will be resumed partially today between Baramulla and Banihal," an official said. "A dry run of 137 km was carried out yesterday (Sunday) between Baramulla and Banihal," the official of the Northern Railways said. Four Women Activist from a Civil Rights NGO Gunned Down in North Waziristan

Four women working with a NGO were killed in North Waziristan's tribal district. According to reports, there were shots fired on their vehicle in the mountainous region covering the former FATA agencies of North Waziristan (which is now under districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan). The activists died after suffering major injuries while the driver was injured in the attack. While the gunmen remains unidentified, all roads and highways are blocked by forces and civilians. IED Diffused in Pantha Chowk Srinagar- Traffic Restored

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that was spotted early this morning on Pantha-Chowk-Nowgam road stretch in Srinagar was diffused successfully by the bomb disposal squad after which traffic was resumed on the road, officials said. The train services that started after a gap of 11 months also resumed normally.
