Travelling to Dubai from Delhi is Cheaper than Travelling to Srinagar

The airfare on flights operating from New Delhi to Srinagar is sky-high leaving the passengers especially the student community aghast. From Delhi, the airfares to Kabul in Afghanistan, Dubai, and many other international destinations are cheaper than the fares to Srinagar from the Delhi Airport. Private School In Anantnag Charges Hefty Admission Fee against Official Instructions

On Saturday, a school in Anantnag was called out for charging admission fee of at least Rs. 45000 with no receipt, parents said. “I was told that admission fee is mandatory and asked to deposit Rs 45000. Old Shell Explodes in Handwara School Injuring a Sweeper

On Saturday, a sweeper was injured after an old shell went off while he was clean a private school in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Official sources told GNS that the sweeper identified as Reyaz Ahmad Ahanger son of Abdul Ahad Ahanger was cleaning the Hillwill School when the shell went off, leading to injuries to him. He was shifted to hospital and his condition is stated to be stable, they said. SP Handwara Dr GV Sandeep said that investigations into the incident have revealed that it was old shell which exploded, leading to the injuries to the sweeper. “He is stable,” the police officer added.

Youth Arrested after Barzulla Attack Released

A youth who was held after the attack in Barzulla area of Srinagar has been released. Bengal Court Issues Warrant Against Amit Shah for ‘Defamatory Remarks’

On Friday, a designated MP/MLA court in West Bengal issued summons to Union home minister Amit Shah and he has to appear either personally or through a lawyer before it on February 22 in connection with a defamation case lodged against him by Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee. The judge directed that Shah’s attendance either personally or through a lawyer is necessary to answer to a charge of defamation under section 500 of the Indian Penal Code.
