Dozens of Vehicles Damaged in Dark of the Night of Baramulla

Unknown persons damaged several Commercial vehicles including Scorpios, Sumos and non-commercial vehicles during the night intervening Thursday in Sumo stand, near Masjid Rashad, and near JK Bank TP Branch in North Kashmir’s Baramulla town . The Taxi Owners Association vice president Mohamad Ashraf Bhat said that the incident is the first of its kind in the last five years in Baramulla town. Bashir Ahmad Bhat owner of a damaged vehicle said, “we are suffering a lot since last two years due to COVID-19 lockdown last year and about six months security clampdown after August 5, 2019. Meanwhile, Taxi Owners' association lodged a written complaint at Police station Baramulla with the demand for immediate action against the accused. KNS

Youth Found Dead in Kulgam, Cardiac Arrest Suspected

  A 27-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a park at District hospital Kulgam on Friday afternoon. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a youth identified as Zubair Ahmed Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat from Kulgam, was found dead in a park around 12:50 am. He was working in a tea shop near Kulgam hospital, official said. He was rushed to District hospital Kulgam where doctors declared him brought dead, said the official. He said apparently it seems that the man has died due to “ sadden cardiac arrest”—(KNO)

Plantation Drive Held at Ammunition Depot Khandroo in Anantnag

Waris Shah   A plantation drive was held at 21 FAD Ammunition Depot in Khandroo of South Kashmir's Anantnag district by Jammu Kashmir forest Division in Anantnag. On the occasion, the Forest Chief Conservator Mr. Deva, DFO Anantnag, Feroz Ahmad, in collaboration with 21 FAD Depot Khandroo Station commander, Mohammad Amanullah Khan attended and held the plantation drive. Kishan Reddy, the Minister of State for Home said that additional 2,000 migrants will return to the valley upon successful completion of their selection process. Budget of Over One Lakh Crore Unveiled for Jammu Kashmir – With Major Focus on BDC, Development and Infrastructure

  On Wednesday, Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the union budget for Jammu Kashmir in Lok Sabha and 1, 08,621 crore rupees was governed. The budget document reveals that its focus is on good governance, socio-economic development of the people, infrastructure building and generation of employment. 37 % of the earmarked budget is destined to be spent on development and infrastructure projects. The total budget estimates for the next fiscal is 1,08,621 crore rupees, of 39,817 rupees are earmarked for capital expenditure and 68,804 crore rupees for revenue expenditure. 71.25 crore rupees have been proposed as ‘development fund’ for 285 block development councils. Jammu Kashmir Records 140 New Positive Cases and One Death in the Last 24 Hours

  Jammu Kashmir, in the last 24 hours reported 140 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 25from the Jammu division and 115from the Kashmir division, taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu Kashmir to 128097. 74 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 16 from Jammu Division and 58 from Kashmir Division. One death from Kashmir division was reported as by the government's daily media bulletin.
