Militant Hideout Busted in Pulwama Kashmir

Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in the Seer/Pastrana area of South Kashmir's Awantipora. In a statement to GNS, the Police said that Upon information of militant hideout in the forest area of Seer/ Pastoona, Police along with 42 RR and 180 Bn CRPF launched a search operation in the said area. During the searches, one hideout of outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen was busted and subsequently destroyed. The size of the hideout is approximately 5 ft × 7ft ×4 ft. Incriminating material of proscribed outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and other material like utensils, food items have been recovered from the said hideout. Army Officer Commits Suicide in Srinagar

  An Army officer posted at Army Depo in Khanmoh area of Srinagar on Wednesday shot himself dead.   Sources told The Kashmiriyat that an army man identified as Sudeep Bhagat Singh of 5231 Asc Bn (MT) shot himself with his service rifle, resulting in his on the spot death.   They said that further investigation into the matter is going on.   More Details Are Awaited.

Leopard Captured in Shopian, Second Catch in District this Year
