Bar on Entry of Public, Litigants, Clerks to Courts in Kashmir to continue

Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal of Jammu Kashmir High Court issued an order through the office of Registrar General Jawad Ahmed on March 21 reiterating a previous order issued on February 3 in this regard. "Entry of the Litigants and public into the Court premises from the very outer gate shall continue to be prohibited,” the February 3 order had said. If, however, any litigant on any reasonable ground is compelled to argue his case personally, he shall be allowed into the Court premises subject to the condition that he makes an application at least two days prior to the date of hearing through e-mail to the Registrar Judicial/Presiding Officer of the Court disclosing such compelling reasons and seeking Permission in that regard, it had added. On Monday, a massive fire swept over thousands of Rohingya refugee camps in Balukhali in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, destroying homes and putting the lives of tens of thousands of refugees in danger. On Tuesday, an official in charge of the Kutupalong refugee camp said that the fire destroyed at least 3,000 shelters as it spread quickly through the refugee camp. On late Monday, the UN refugee agency UNHCR said that fire services, Bangladesh’s Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner and rescue and response teams were present at the spot, trying to control the further spread of fire in the camp. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that the rooftop of the Government Middle school building in the Nowshehra area of Anantnag's Khiram collapsed during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday The Kashmiriyat got in touch with a teacher who was unavailable for comments over the issue.
