The Uttar Pradesh Police have booked at least a hundred people in the Pilibhit town after they staged a protest over ”insulting” remarks made by Hindu priest Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati against Prophet Muhammad, a renowned Urdu newspaper, Inquilab reported. According to the report, the protestors have been accused of violating social distancing norms and section 144 imposed in the area on account of Panchayat elections in Pilibhit. Rayees Shah The Jammu Kashmir Police On Wednesday recovered the body of a  newborn baby near Power Canal Dam at Kullan area of Gund In Central Kashmir Ganderbal district. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that panic gripped when employees of power Development Corporation who were on duty at Kullan Ganderbal spotted the body of a newborn baby floating in the nearby power canal. “The employees immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and the body was taken away," the official said. He said that the body has been brought to SDH Kangan for further medical formalities. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.
