The Jammu Kashmir Police arrested four persons in connection with raping a minor girl from the Bonigam area of Qazigund area in South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday. In a statement, the Police said that the Police station in Qazigund received a written complaint by a complainant stating that her daughter (name withheld) was raped by three persons at Bonigam Qazigund where a woman namely Shabrooza W/O Mushtaq Ahmad Itoo R/O Damjen aided them in the rape of a minor girl. The offence surfaced when during the course of a medical examination, she was found pregnant. Mohammed Mufeez Nine students and one staff member have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Industrial Training Institute in the Tral area of Pulwama in South Kashmir. Mohammed Younis, the in-charge official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that during sampling of the staff members and the students, ten have been found positive for Covid 19 on Wednesday. He said that the institute was maintaining the covid SOPs but despite that, the students and teachers being tested positive is a sign of alarm. Meanwhile, The Kashmiriyat spoke to the principal of the institute who said that the institute has decided to shut down functioning for five days till Sunday.

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday morning claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered more than 1790 bottles of codeine in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
