BJP Leader Attacked by Suspected Militants in Srinagar

Suspected militants on Thursday attacked a BJP leader's residence at the Nowgam area of Srinagar.
As per initial inputs received by The Kashmiriyat gunmen fired at the guard of BJP Leader, Anwar Hussain in the Aari Bagh area of Srinagar during which the guard sustained injuries.
Identified as constable Rameez Raja belt number 794/s has been critically injured and referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for treatment.
A BJP member upon being contacted said that the militants attacked the house of BJP leader Anwar Khan, who is the party’s district president for Baramulla and in charge of the Kupwara district, he managed to escape the spot and foil the attack. Sources however told The Kashmiriyat that the attack was a weapon-snatching bid.
