The JK administration, under the target of 100% vaccination of those above 45 by June 30, has given priority to the villages situated in the remote areas in its first phase of vaccination. Vian, a remote village in the Bandipora district of North Kashmir, was vaccinated by the health workers in about 4 hours. Dr. Masrat Iqbal, the Block Medical Officer of the area, along with the medical team, the help of Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, education department employees and block-level workers went to the village to vaccinate all the villagers. With the help of the Delhi Police, the Jammu and Kashmir police reunited a teenage boy with his family after nearly 8 months as the boy had gone missing in September last year from his maternal uncle's home in Asham locality of Sumbal in north Kashmir's Bandipora district. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Sumbal police had received a complaint from one Abdul Rashid Sheikh of Kondbal area of Manasbal on September 22 last year that his son Tawfeeq (14) alias Aakash, who used to live with his maternal uncle in Asham, had gone missing.
