Body of Srinagar youth Found in Maloora After 5 Days

On Friday, the rescue operation continued for the 5th consecutive day to successfully fish out the body of a Srinagar youth who had jumped into the river Jehlum on 31 May. As reported earlier, a youth after alighting from his cycle at Cement Bridge Qamarwari jumped into the river Jehlum. Later on, he was identified as 22 years old Musadiq Maqsood Dar, a resident of New Colony Palpora, Srinagar. Meanwhile, the rescuers had been trying hard to fish out his body and today, early in the morning some boatmen who were extracting sand from river Jhelum saw the dead body near the Maloora area in Srinagar and informed the police. When The Kashmiriyat contacted the concerned police officials, they confirmed that the body has been found.

At least 624 doctors died in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic across the country, with the national capital losing the most. According to the latest report of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), so far 109 doctors have lost their lives in Delhi alone in the second wave. The IMA’s latest data revealed that a total of 1,362 doctors have died so far since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. In the first wave as many as 748 doctors lost their lives. The Locals say that this may cause huge danger or a major accident any time that could affect an entire settlement. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the locals said demanded that the existential poles be replaced and new bigger electric poles be installed. "This is a deliberate mistake on the part of the contractors and the department to make the people of Khashipura suffer," a local said.
