Apni Party president and former minister Syed Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday said that the statements given by the leaders after the All Party Meeting on June 24 in New Delhi, were contrary to what was discussed inside. Addressing a presser, Bukhari as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that nobody in the meeting talked about the dialogue with Pakistan. “There was no such discussion in the meeting. Under the Chief Minister Dalit Empowerment Programme, the Telanaga government has announced that it shall provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the eligible Dalit beneficiaries. At least eight houses were gutted while over 35 others are engulfed as massive fire rages in the hilly area of Banihal in Ramban district, officials said. They said the fire erupted in the Hijwah village of Mahu Mangit area under the jurisdiction of police post-Khari. The area is hilly, and houses are mainly made of wood, the officials said. So far, eight houses have been gutted in the fire, the cause of which is still unknown. The area is around 40 kilometers from district headquarters.
